Sony Ericsson Xperia Play
It seems that finally we have had our dreams answered. After years and years of patient (well, most of the time) waiting, Sony Ericsson have finally decided to release a mobile phone designed for playing computer games. With the famous Playstation style controller built onto a slide out panel for controlling your games, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is one of the most anticipated phones of recent years. Running on Android, the compare phones will reportedly feature games ranging in price from £1 – £10 and I for one cannot wait until it is released in the coming weeks. Until the full spectrum of games is released though, we still have to have something to keep us occupied. Here are some of the other anticipated games on the Android platform set for release very soon.
N.O.V.A. 2
The first N.O.V.A. Was one of the success stories of what was really a poor first bunch of iPhone to android ports and the next one looks to be even better. A 3D shooter of the highest class in terms of mobile gaming, this Halo-like game looks set to excel on the host of dual core devices set for release this year, including the Xperia Play.
Plants vs Zombies
This is rather a more simple game that N.O.V.A. 2 but it is no less brilliant. This has been a sensation on the internet for a few years, regularly cropping up in lists of the best online games and now it is time to play it on your Android device. The idea is to keep the hoards of flesh eating zombies away from your safe haven, a shed, by planting different forms of Flora in the ground around your hut. A very funny and addictive game, this performs well on mobile phones.
Zenonia 3
RPG games are becoming more and more popular on mobile phones and the Zenonia series is one of the reasons why we have seen this. An incredibly dramatic storyline that borders on the epic has been one of the best things about the first game and we are expecting just as much from the third game.
